Bios:

Tara Baxendale

Vixens-Tara-600-1Tara has called Toronto home for over a decade. She is a graduate of Acadia University (Bachelor of Music) and The Boston Conservatory (Masters in Musical Theatre). While still in high school, Tara was invited to join the Stephenville Festival Young Company.

In a professional career spanning twenty years, this versatile performer has appeared in timeless musicals – Kiss Me Kate (The Publick Theatre, Boston, MA), Canadian premieres – Dance of the Dead (DOA Productions – CanStage), and Chrystanthia (Theatre Aquarius), classic plays – The Man Who Came to Dinner (Theatre Cambridge), and indie films – Disappeared and The Engagement.

Her passion for storytelling through the medium of musical theatre songs led her to create her first solo cabaret, The Diva Fables, which will be remounted at City Playhouse Theatre in Vaughan, March 13, 2010.

Esther Jaciuk Thibault

Vixens-Esther-600-1Esther is a Toronto area singer/actress with a passion for voice work. Esther has a BFA in Music Theatre from the University of Windsor.

Favourite credits include Canadian musicals “Girls in the Gang” – University Players (Anne); “Anne of Green Gables” Port Hope Festival Theatre (Mrs. Barry) “Red Hot & Cole” Theatre Brampton (Ethel Merman/Elsa Maxwell); Farce: “Anybody for Murder” Theatre Etobicoke (Mary Tickelwell); and principle roles in independent films: “Eva Las Vegas” and “The Engagement”.

In animation, Esther has sung on cartoons such as “Sailor Moon”; “Tom & Vicky” and “Captain Fatz” and voiced an educational cartoon for the 2004 Afghanistan elections Esther regularly creates Descriptive Video narrations for the vision impaired.

She has recorded a CD of classic hymns and is working on a jazz CD.

Michelle Piller

Vixens-Michelle-600-1Michelle’s selected credits include: I Do, I Do; Side by Side by Sondheim; I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change; Assassins; Hair; Nunsense; Dads; You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown; The Last Resort; Beautiful City; Body and Soul; The Dance of the Dead; Toronto the Good and Toad!

Recording credits include The Polkadot Flu, Dudley the Dragon, You Thought Your Family Was Strange and Mother Goose and All That Jazz.
