Elton-Rohn-600-1Elton Rohn

is the Ultimate Tribute to Elton John!

Elton Rohn takes you down the “Yellow Brick Road” performing as Elton John from the prime of his career. With this seven-piece band, they perform in the original keys, sing all the harmonies and hit all the notes that made Elton famous from early in his career up until present day. As Sir Elton John, Ron Camilleri plays the piano, sings, looks and acts like Elton so much you’ll think you are experiencing the high energy show Elton did back in the 70’s. The costumes, the musicianship, the flashing pianos… it’s all there! It’s all live and it’s right on!

Elton Rohn has played to huge festival and theatre audiences across Canada and into the U.S.A. The show includes the best of “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” and early hits that made Elton a worldwide phenomenon. Elton Rohn covers the best of the best. The proof is in seeing him live. You’ll agree they’ve totally got it!

Bio:

Ron Camilleri Elton-Rohn-600-2has played music all his life. As a young boy, Ron attended dozens of concerts while accompanying his father (an executive with CBS Records Canada). It wasn’t long before he started playing in a band and writing music. Ron’s influences date back to the very first time he saw the Billy Joel, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen and Chicago when they played Canada for the very first time in the 70’s.Throughout University, Ron continued with his music. After completing his degree, Ron went on to work in the Canadian Music Industry. Most notably in award winning sales and marketing positions with Warner Music Canada and Sony Music Canada (formerly CBS Records). Ron’s eventually headed up Columbia Records for Sony Music Canada where he worked with some of the top artists in the world. Celine Dion, Tony Bennett, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Pink Floyd, Mariah Carey.. just to name a few. Watching and learning from the thousand plus concerts he’s attended, he can take this professionalism to the stage with his own live performance.
Ron is a TV music writer, a player (multiple instruments) , a singer, a marketer, production specialist and now performer. As leader of Ronnie and the Jets, Ron has now put it all together to be the all round entertainer he is. Elton John remains as one of his favourite artists and it shows on stage.

Reviews:

“… a fabulous sold out show. We are looking forward to having them back…”

“… Camilleri’s jaw-dropping tribute to the music of Elton John. It is difficult to categorize what they do as a ‘tribute’. It’s more like a time machine that opens a window on this music when it was new, and fresh, and Elton was a man on a mission…to burn it down. Within minutes of their first song, you will forget you are watching a tribute. It is Elton John, at least everything that made him the huge star he became, the way I remember hearing and seeing these songs back in the 70’s. Yes, this is a tribute band, but so right on the money you forget you’re not watching the real thing…”
Bob Segarini, FYI Music Canadian Music Reviewer

“Probably one of the best shows to grace the Manor stage – costumes – light show – and an incredible evening of Elton John. Without a doubt- one of the best bands we have ever had the privilege of working with. Best show in North America hands down – Ron has Elton down to a T – – .”
Andy Marcolin – Owner/Operator Boston Manor, Burlington

“Ronnie and the Jets played at our annual cottage party in July 2009 and they were an amazing band. …it would be fair to say “a good time was had by all”. Many were dancing and singing to timeless songs that were fun and very well executed. The band was very professional and of course, the vocalist was superb. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this musical group for private or corporate functions.”
Darren Throop / Tish Brennan President / CEO Entertainment One, Toronto, Ontario

“My wife and I were at the show Saturday night and we had a fabulous evening. Thank you all. When we lived in the UK, we saw Elton live and had to travel 5 hours in the car each way. You are by far the best Elton Tribute artist we have ever seen. I said before the show started that if you weren’t on stage for 3 hours, as Elton did on the night we saw him, then you weren’t doing a good tribute to him. Thanks for a great evening and see you again soon we hope.”
David and Irene Workman

“I must confess that I am an Elton John fanatic. I have seen him in concert so many times that I’ve lost track. So I was a bit skeptical when I agreed to go see them at the Burlington Ribfest in 2010. But I was absolutely stunned! Ron has the look, mannerisms and voice of Elton John….I actually felt as though I were at an EJ concert back when EJ was in his prime. And his band is outstanding, too – these guys are serious musicians. Only he could keep a full house mesmerized and dancing in the aisles…in the pouring rain. I will make a point of seeing them whenever they are in town. These guys know how to put on a FANTASTIC show!!!”
